It’s the greatest honour as a Newborn photographer to be asked by a couple whose wedding you photographed back in your college days if you’d capture their latest addition to their growing family.
I’ve known Liam and Emma for quite a while now, and still remember their wedding from many years ago when I had just finished college and started up my business. I remember feeling so anxious as I had only done a handful of weddings at this point, but the couple and all their family and friends really put me at ease and made me feel like one of the guests.
Since then we kept in touch through seeing each other at our children’s friends’ parties and on social media. When Emma contacted me to say Ralph had arrived and would I be able to photograph the family in their new home I was delighted. Ralph’s big brother Sebastian now goes to school with my little girl and it’s lovely to hear that our children play together all these years after first meeting.
Emma and Liam wanted a relaxed session in their own home capturing them naturally. The light was beautiful in their front room and made my job very easy. Little Ralph slept for just enough time to get a few shots on his own before he decided that being naked really wasn’t for him.
