It’s always nice to uncover beautiful spots whilst on a Lincolnshire engagement shoot, especially when they mean something to the couple. This is Abbi and Simon’s pre-wedding shoot. We started off down a country lane where they regularly go walking. It was on this country lane that I learned of Simon’s super cute proposal story. He’d been showing Abbi how to jump and click her heels mid air and on the day of the proposal he asked her to jump and click her heels like they’d been practising. When Abbi turned around after clicking her heels, Simon was on one knee! I love to hear about proposal stories and this one is by far my favourite to date. I just had to get a shot of them both jumping and clicking their heels together. Tooooo cute!
We then drove a short distance to the beautiful old gate entrance to Brocklesby Estate and stumbled upon an old barn building which was covered in moss with much of the ceiling missing. It made for a some stunning pictures. The high wall around the gate was covered in Ivy and steeped in history. This area of Lincolnshire is so beautiful, I really am lucky to have such stunning locations literally on my doorstep.
I had so much fun with Abbi and Simon. Even the cold didn’t stop the giggles. I’ll hopefully not be needing to use my thermals for the next time I photograph them though!!
